Drug Safety Coordinator Job Description:

Company in Atlanta seeks a drug safety coordinator. The Drug Safety Coordinator will provide date entry and support services to the Drug Safety Group.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

¨ Review and data entry of incoming adverse events.
¨ Produce required reports for FDA and Health Canada.
¨ Produce tables and listings for Periodic Adverse Event Reports and other pharmacovigilance reports.
¨ Follow the FDA, Health Canada and company rules and regulations on Serious Adverse Event (SAE) processing and reporting.
¨ Lecture and train on safety issues at drug safety meetings, SOP conferences, and other venues as needed.
¨ Participate in writing SOPs and Working Instructions under the direction of the Drug Safety Associate.

Must be able to work independently and lead the team and/or projects as necessary. The problem solving will vary from routine to standard. Provision of support services usually of an informational or recording nature within a department. This position will require review and data entry of adverse event data. Production of required cumulative listings and reports. Must be able to work independently and lead the team and/or projects as necessary. Will report to the Drug Safety Associate and work closely with the local Drug Safety Physicians.

REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of adverse drug experience reporting and U.S.A. and Canadian regulatory requirements is a plus.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree required.

EXPERIENCE:

Industry experience of 1 to 3 years is a plus, but not required
